Clinical supervision is a critical component in the development of therapist competencies, particularly in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Despite its importance, there is a lack of specific tools to assess EFT supervision effectively. This dissertation aims to address this gap by proposing a novel process coding system for EFT supervision. Grounded in the Emotion Focused Therapy Supervisor Competency Framework, the proposed coding system identifies and operationalizes nine key competencies into eleven categories. The study comprehends a comprehensive review of the literature on clinical supervision, highlighting the unique demands of EFT.
