Abstract(s)
The present study was conducted with a sample of college students with the aim to understand whether pornography viewing is related to the normalization of sexual violence, analyze the influence of gender on the effects of pornography, and finally examine whether the positive effects of pornography are associated with the increased legitimization of rape myths. A total of 310 university students, between the ages of 18 and 65 (X̅ X̅ = 24.43; SD = 7.21), participated in this quantitative study. The following materials were used: Scale of Attitudes Toward Consumption of Pornographic Materials, and Scale of Beliefs about Sexual Violence (ECVS).
