Intellectual Capital is a relatively recent concept in academic literature, even more so when associated with Humanitarian Organizations. It is against this backdrop that the theme for this research is proposed, in order to understand the existing connections between those two concepts. Specifically, in a first moment and using an extensive literature review, this work sought to identify the intellectual capital elements that are most critical to the success of humanitarian organizations. In a second moment, using the IFRC (International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies) as a case study, an attempt was made to rank the elements identified previously, through a questionnaire conducted to a restricted group of employees from this organization and its handling through the Analytic Hierarchy Process methodology.pt_PT
