Abstract(s)
Monitoring accelerations and decelerations in soccer activities entails specific challenges for practitioners and researchers. This thesis aims to provide a new proposal to monitor accelerations and decelerations, by addressing those challenges: the use of minimum effort duration, the utilization of fixed and arbitrary thresholds, and by highlighting the importance of accelerations and decelerations efforts in agility, change
of direction speed, and speed displacements.
