A total of 102 top-level managers of Portuguese organizations, from different sectors, sizes, and ages answered a questionnaire concerning innovation activity in their organization. The results of this exploratory study highlighted positive as well as negative significant relationships of these organizational variables in different dimensions of the innovation process. This can be useful to better understand how innovation occurs within and between different industries or companies.
